  • 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cheese tortellini
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steak slices with salt and pepper, and add them to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to bubble and thicken slightly.
  6. Return steak and tortellini to the skillet, gently tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for another minute to heat through.
  7. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired, and garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving.
