Choosing fresh, quality ingredients is the secret to making this punch shine. I always reach for the freshest citrus and the best-quality rum I can find because, just like my mom taught me, simple ingredients deserve to be treated with care. If you’re making this for a crowd or the whole family, picking natural fruit juices — not from concentrate — really lifts the flavor. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 cups pineapple juice (fresh if possible)
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup pink grapefruit juice (optional, but adds a lovely tartness)
- 1 cup light rum (substitute with coconut rum for extra tropical flair)
- 1/4 cup grenadine syrup for natural sweetness and color
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh fruit slices for garnish (pineapple, oranges, and cherries work beautifully)
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, and pink grapefruit juice. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
- Add the light rum and grenadine syrup to the juice mixture. Stir again until the grenadine is fully incorporated, giving the punch its characteristic pink hue.
- Stir in the fresh lime juice to add brightness and balance out the sweetness.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes to keep the punch refreshingly cold without diluting the flavor too quickly.
- Pour the punch over the ice in each glass, making sure to mix before serving as the grenadine may settle at the bottom.
- Garnish with fresh fruit slices — I like to add a pineapple wedge and a cherry on top for that classic pirate vibe.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of tropical flavors!
